During the transition, candidates may request the 2021 editions at the test center through February 1, 2027.

What this means for you: if you test between now and November 1, 2026, the questions follow the 2021 codes and the provided references are the 2021 editions. If you test after November 1, 2026, the questions follow the 2024 codes — though you can still request the 2021 reference books at the center until February 1, 2027. If you prepared with a 2021 copy and test after the transition, re-check the sections that changed between the 2021 and 2024 editions.
